Insect netting is imperative to protect brassicas (broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, kohlrabi, radish and turnips) from insect damage caused by flea beetles and cabbage moths. These insects can destroy an entire crop. By using insect netting that is available in Canada, the grower can avoid dusting chemicals on their vegetables to remain chemical free. The plants are also less stressed when grown under insect netting.

The insect netting will also protect against grasshopper damage provided the bottom of the netting is tucked into mulch.

The insect netting I sell is very durable and can easily withstand the winds we experience on the Canadian prairies. I have been using some of mine for 8+ seasons now and it show no signs of weakness. The reason I began importing this product to Canada is because I could not find a product here that withstood the strong and sustained winds we have here.

The insect netting is 10′ wide which is wide enough to cover larger plants like cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower under hoops or as floating row cover. The netting is sold in custom lengths and I will mail it to you via Canada Post’s Flat Rate boxes.
